Draymond Green's short lived opportunity as a TNT analyst Friday night, ended with him receiving a tampering fine.
The Golden State Power Forward landed a $50,000 fine after alleging Devin Booker, the Suns superstar point-gaurd, couldn't play great basketball in Phoenix. And that they needed to get Booker out of Phoenix all together... Whoever "They" are.
When host Ernie Johnson asked Green, "Are you tampering?", Draymond replied, "Maybe."
The irony in all of this? With the Suns victory over the Heat Sunday night, Phoenix stands as the only undefeated team in the bubble, putting them only 2 games behind the 8th seed in the west. So getting Book out of Phoenix may be harder than you think.
But, I wouldn't put anything past the trash talking All-star. I mean, he was single handedly responsible for sweet talking Kevin Durant into joining forces with the "Splash Brothers"...
To be clear on the rules of tampering, the NBA prohibits players and associates employed by NBA teams from interfering with or commenting on contractual matters involving other players and teams. And while Draymond's comments are not foreign in private conversations amongst players and execs, the NBA forbids them from being expressed publicly.
